Why are you letting a simple mistake drain your business??
I have a secret of what you should be doing if you want to increase your SALES REVENUE.
But let me start with my story
I remember sometime in April 2020 during the Coronavirus lockdown, I started to look for a way to grow my online business. Then one day, I got on a one on one call with a business strategist – God bless her soul. On this call, I did most of the talking and all she did was to listen to me attentively.
Very funny but that was it.
She actually interjected me at some points but I did almost all the talking. The call was supposed to be for 60 minutes but because of how friendly and intelligent she was, I begged her to allow us stay longer and she agreed – I was so excited.
Then when she was done listening to me, she gave me real-life solutions on how I can grow my business online. We talked about branding, marketing strategy, content creation, and more. I will be sharing most of her advice with you here on Tumihub but not in this post. Stay close and don’t stray.
Back to the story
As she was about to get off the phone she quickly asked me one question that’s stuck with me since then.
Then she dropped the secret I am about sharing with you.
“Mark! Have you been collecting your Taxes?”
she said
I was surprised and confused. What does Tax have to do with growing a business? What does she mean by tax? For about three seconds, I was asking myself series of rhetorical questions. I was supposed to be paying tax to the government, how on earth do I have to collect tax as an individual?
I eventually had to ask her what she meant by collecting tax.
Then she replied and repeated her question again just so I can be sure she didn’t make a mistake in her sentence. This time, she added another hint that got me more confused. She said
“Mark! have you been collecting your Taxes from your customers?”
I was so curious. You know that kind of discussion that just render you speechless and you really don’t know what to say; that was the case for me that day. I had to actually ask her “What TAXES?”
She sighed and said
“TESTIMONIALS”
Testimonials Mark! Do you collect it?
Still not clear, I said “what type of Testimonials?”
That was when the conversation started to get more interesting. She answered me and said

“Different kind of testimonials Mark.
- Written Testimonials
- Video Testimonials
- Reviews
- Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
- Case Study
- Lots more
And she asked again “Have you been collecting this?”
I answered “No”
She just shook her head and said “Mark if you truly want to Pivot and make sales online as you desire, you have to collect TESTIMONIALS. It is a unavoidable tax you have to collect”
She went on to explain to me why having a bank of testimonials is very important and how that single bank can make me more money than I can imagine.
She explained to me that it is my TAX and I should not allow any Customer evade this TAX….
From then on,
I always made sure I collect my TAXES from my Customers and I do not give a chance for any Customer to evade this TAX. Now, I can categorically tell you that since I have been collecting and Sharing this TESTIMONIALS on my social media pages, it has not only grown my business and bring new customers, it has also made me become very enthusiastic about delivering nothing but the utmost VALUE to my Customers.

Testimonials builds trust
Testimonials on its own can translate an audience from cold to hot. It is logical and generally applicable. Sometimes, you do not intend to see a movie but if a friend comes to you and recommends a movie with all his/her sugarcoated words, you will most likely want to go see that movie. Right?
Another example is when you eavesdrop a set of people gist on a seasonal movie or concert with so much enthusiasm and anticipation for the next episode, you will feel the urge to see that movie at that moment. That is you moving from cold to hot.
Ask for Quality testimonials
Some testimonials are empty and doesn’t have any effect at all. You need to ask for testimonials that will prove your uniqueness, solutions and worth of your services or products. I won’t put words in your mouth as to what questions to ask. Figure it out yourself but make sure they are questions that will bring quality testimonials.
A testimonial is enough to justify your price no matter how high it seems to your audience at first.
Do not stop collecting your tax!
