Many people believe that to be more financially successful, they need a better job, or go to college and have a degree. But the reality is that many times, it is their own mind that limits them for years to get what they want.
Have you ever thought about how much you spend monthly?
For instance, data is becoming oxygen gradually. I was just thinking about how data has become a basic need. Most of us feel relentless when we exhaust our data without a visible means to get another one. The funniest thing is how our brain starts looking for a way to get the data. How you have to make the calls or send the message hahaha.
The necessity and mindset we place on data are the driving force propelling this search for data.
So, when you consider improving your financial situation, you must first ask yourself:
- How are things internally?
- How am I thinking and reacting to the things that happen to me every day?
- How do I make decisions? Either on an emotional level or a rational level
- How do I behave with money?
Let me share this quickly before I share a personal story you will love to hear…
HOW TO CREATE ABUNDANCE FROM YOUR MINDSET
1. Conduct a Personal Analysis.
The first step is to stop believing that we all do things well – that we all ‘magically’ handle money well.
Our mind unconsciously will want to conclude that it knows everything and that it does things in the best way. But this is probably not correct.
If we have not obtained financial education, if our parents are not good at handling money and making it grow; if we do not experience financial abundance in our lives at this time, it is because we have to learn and improve.
So, recognizing mistakes, and knowing that you must educate yourself financially to acquire an abundance mentality, is essential.
2. Reflect on This:
If you give enough people what they want, eventually you will start to get what you want.
When we earn money and generate abundance, we are obtaining value from another person. Whether you are paying us for a service, for a product, or anything else. Also, those people are giving us value, in terms of money.
So, what we need to think about is how to provide that value first. So that people are willing to pay us for it because if we don’t provide something that people value and appreciate, it’s going to be very difficult for us to create abundance.
Many people start a business thinking mainly about how much money they are going to make. Some people even sell you the idea of clicking on the Internet or trying to carry out any pyramid scam.
What makes people fall for these traps is that they don’t think;
What value am I offering to a market that is willing to pay me for it?
If they tell me that I have to give 1,000 dollars and that I earn $2,000, overnight without doing anything…
This does not have a clear and valuable foundation.
There is no product, there is no service, there is no market, there are no benefits, there is nothing.
With an abundance mentality, you have to first identify what value you are providing, for which you are going to get the money.
And when you think about offering value, either in the form of products or services that allow you to improve the lives of others, people are going to appreciate it, and surely, they are going to be willing and happy to pay you for it with satisfaction.
3. There Are Opportunities
Everywhere You Look
Many people believe that opportunities are scarce, rare, practically almost non-existent or they believe that for others it is easier, and they never get it.
This is not true!
Or in other words, it’s a scarcity mentality because with an abundance mentality, one knows that the opportunities are there, and it is only a matter of seeking or creating them.
There is an example of this that can help you understand:
An entrepreneur moved to a new city to open a branch of his business. That person had certain candidates on file to hire, without their knowledge.
To one of his candidates, who was the person who had helped him settle in his new home, he said:
Hey, do you know a place where I can take to wash my car
And the person said:
Yes, I’ll send you a text message with the address in 5 minutes.
The businessman waited and the message never reached him.
That person could have been hired, but the employer thought:
“If he could not comply with a text message from a car wash (the one he uses himself, or a friend or relative), how is he going to deliver and how is he going to work in my business for bigger responsibilities?”
If the employer had told him that he wanted to hire him, he would immediately send the message just for convenience, but he would surely fail him in the future.
This person had the opportunity to earn a position, but because of his attitude and determination, he closed the door in front of him.
One thing we have to do with opportunities is that we detect or create them, starting with being aware of them and looking for them.
Here is the story I promise you
At a time in my life, I thought I was the champion. Don’t mind me; I was very local and had not left a state. My exposure was very slim. How slim my mentality was back then can be justified by my definition of best car – my dream car. it was a Hyundai Kia. I was having a shallow mindset about so many things
Not too long after, I changed my environment for the first time. It was a mega city this time. The first thing I saw differently is the luxurious cars used even by young ladies. They were so much that I wonder why I was being petty about my taste of cars. That environment had great effect on my mentality till date.
4. The Quality of People Around You Counts Too
When it comes to creating an abundance mindset, it’s important to surround yourself with people who think similar to you about this.
If there are 5 apples in a basket, and 1 of them is bad, it is easier for the bad to harm the other 4 than for the good to fix the bad.
So, when you surround yourself with people with a very negative mindset about money, a very strong poverty mindset, people who don’t think they can get ahead financially and change their average earnings story, it is most likely that this will permeate you every day – The way you talk, the way you react to things, the way you make decisions, the way you think about money, etc.
So, ideally, you should find a group of people that you spend the most time with. And that helps you feed on positive thoughts, detection, and creation of opportunities, ideas to provide value.
5. Be Aware of Limiting Beliefs About Money.
This is closely related to the previous point.
Many people believe that money is the root of all evil, however, think about this:
Any amount of money can be used to help a sick child or to finance a drug trafficking project.
The same as a hammer, which can be used to drive a nail and hang a work of art, or to break someone’s finger.
The hammer in that case is not to blame, neither of one nor of the other. Neither the hammer is an art facilitator in the world, nor is money the root of all evil. Both are a tool that you can use for better or worse.
If you are good, generous, you have good ideas, you want to help others with a lot of money you will be able to be more of that because money will enhance that character even more. And it’s going to help you be more than you already are right now.
On the contrary, if you are afraid that money can transform your mind negatively, then start working on you.
Study and learn strategies to become a better person every day.
Why Are There Limiting Beliefs of Poverty?
Because when one is poor and wishes to be rich, the mind tries to find a justification or an excuse for being poor.
It’s not that, I’m poor, because:
- I have not made good decisions in my life
- I have missed good opportunities
- I have not wanted to work on certain things_
- I have been afraid to create my own business and leave my job
- I have not studied ANY of finances and abundance mentality
- I have related to equally poor people who do not contribute to a better life
Otherwise I am poor because:
- Money is bad.
- The rich are dishonest and greedy
- I live poor but happy” (as if one could not be rich and happy)
- I want to lead a holier life etc…
And just like you are, there are tons of more excuses.
Because it is easier to shield ourselves with them than to accept reality and work to improve it
As I conclude
If you can overcome those excuses, you can move to the next level in your financial life and achieve much more success.
